Minnie and the Illywhackers: The Transylvanian Gig! 27 Oct 2014

Relax and enjoy a family gig with a tasty mix of early jazz, country and blues as well as some fun spooky sing-along songs to sink your teeth into!
Presented by The Ark & the Bram Stoker Festival 2014.

There’s a laid back good time music atmosphere at our Bank Holiday Monday Family Concert with 5-piece band Minnie and the Illywhackers performing a special family Halloween concert.

The quirky band centres around the delightful vocal talents of Angie (Minnie) McLaughlin and also includes ukulele, mandolin, double bass, dobro, cornet, fiddle and guitar. Relax and enjoy swinging songs from the old song book of early jazz, country and blues as well as original songs and forgotten classics of the pre-rock and roll era. Especially for this family performance there will be some fun spooky sing-along songs and not-so-scary sounds! Come in your costume if you dare.

The band have been delighting audiences all over Ireland from Dublin’s Sugar Club and Whelan’s to West-Cork’s Copper Mining Museum and have been busy on the festival circuit including Body and Soul and Knockanstockan. Definitely a concert not to be missed!
