Andy Manley: Theatre for Children 27 Sep 2012

A professional development workshop for theatre practitioners with award-winning theatre artist Andy Manley

Date & Time: Thu 27 Sep, 2pm to 4pm

Andy Manley is a leading theatre artist working in the theatre for children sector. During the run of White in the Dublin Theatre Festival Family Season, Andy will lead a professional development workshop which is open to theatre practitioners with some professional experience who are interested in extending their practice in relation to theatre for children. A total of 20 places are available on the workshop.

Andy will take people through his mode of working which has seen him devise work both on his own and in partnership with other artists. The workshop will explore his working methods and will focus on early years work.

Andy’s work tours extensively to UK and international venues and festivals. In 2010 he collaborated with Shona Reppe, Catherine Wheels and Ian Cameron on White a new show for 2-4 year olds. The show has been awarded a Scotsman Fringe First, a Total Theatre Award and was nominated for a Drama Desk award in New York. Andy was awarded an Archangel award in Edinburgh earlier this year
