Storytelling through Landscape

Part 1

Have you ever wondered what might happen if we handed the microphone over to our physical landscapes to hear what they might have to say?

In these Storytelling through Landscape workshops with Luke Casserly, we will begin by exploring places we’ve encountered throughout our lives and their potential to become animated through performance. Using sound, writing, and drama, we will explore different urban and rural landscapes that exist in our world and go on a creative journey to find out more about them. Participants will work together in small groups to create their very own site-responsive performances, which will be shared at the end of each workshop.

Expect bubbling conversations about our natural world, fun drama games, and a conversation with a grasshopper!

Part 2

In the second storytelling workshop, we will continue exploring places we’ve visited throughout our lives and their potential to come to life through performance. Using sound, writing, and drama, we will explore different urban and rural landscapes that exist in our world and go on a creative journey to find out more about them. Participants will work together in small groups to create their very own responsive performances, which will be shared at the end of each workshop.
