Hunka and Dunne Duo 2 - 3 Jun 2011

Virtuoso violinist and Irish Chamber Orchestra leader Katherine Hunka and leading accordionist Dermot Dunne join forces to create a stunning performance duo. Katherine and Dermot will invite your class to explore an exciting mix of music, from celebrated classics to a selection of works with a strong Latin, Gypsy and folk flavour. During the workshop children will participate in imaginative call-and-response and improvisation games, gaining an appreciation of listening to music through active participation.
