Talk: Brian Maguire 7 Mar 2017
To mark the opening of our 'Put Yourself in the Portrait Gallery', which features his charcoal drawings from our Children of Ireland 2016 series, artist Brian Maguire gives a talk for adults interested in his take on human rights and visual arts.
Brian will talk about his career, in particular the role and impact that children have had in his painting practice of over 30 years with reference to work from Favela Vile Prudente (1998) , The Bayview Project (2003) and recent work from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. He will also talk about the role that adults have in supporting creative growth and development in children.
This talk is for grown ups.
