Support The Ark Now

Support The Ark to continue delivering opportunities for children to discover and love the arts through and beyond the Covid-19 crisis.

At The Ark, we believe in every child’s right to art and culture. Art and culture are crucial for children's development, wellbeing and enjoyment, and it is clear that at the moment art and culture are providing valuable inspiration and consolation to us all.

Typically, we deliver our programme in our beautiful building in Temple Bar, where children come with their families, friends or schools to see shows, exhibitions and concerts, or to take part in our hands-on workshops. Right now, while children, parents and teachers are all at home, we are creating opportunities to spark childhood imagination by making and sharing great art experiences through The Ark @ Home, our online series of arts activities and experiences for children.

Through The Ark @ Home, we are rising to the challenges the current crisis has presented, but we look forward to opening our doors again, when it is safe to do so, to share a brilliant programme of performances and activities celebrating our 25th birthday. We believe that our work, and the work of the many talented artists with which we collaborate, is best experienced in person: none of us has forgotten the thrill of seeing our first live performance, the magic of being immersed in an exhibition or installation, or the empowerment of being given the space, tools and licence to imagine and create.

We cannot wait to deliver these vital and valuable experiences once again in The Ark, and we need your support to do so. The longer we are closed, the more we stand to lose in ticket sales and vital donations. In spite of that, we are doing everything we can to fulfil our commitments to our staff, our audiences and the many artists we collaborate with, who we know face huge uncertainty in this unprecedented situation. That said, we understand how challenging this time is for everyone, so we propose a number of ways that you can support artists, the arts and The Ark:

Buy a voucher for yourself or someone else

Vouchers provide valuable financial support for us and are a great incentive to visit us once we are back in action to see some incredible art for young audiences.

Become a Member of The Ark

Members get priority booking and discounts on tickets, so as well as helping us in a time of need, members will be the first in the doors when we open them again.

Make a once-off donation

Any amount donated, big or small, will help us to survive the crisis and thrive when we reopen, ensuring we can fulfil our mission to make and share great art by, for and with children now and in the future.

Simply keep in touch
