Live From The Ark

While our productions bring the magic of performance to audiences in our theatre, Live From The Ark brings that magic across the country.

This fully digital programme amplifies The Ark’s reach – and impact – all over Ireland. Live From The Ark consists of:

  • Filmed Ark performances made available nationwide on-demand in school and at home
  • Live online workshops bringing creativity to classrooms across the country
  • Downloadable activity packs connected to curriculum and available in English and Irish

Access to art and culture has a proven impact on children’s social, personal and academic development, and children who engage in art and creativity have better outcomes than those who don’t. But not all children have equal access to these valuable experiences and Live From The Ark is designed with this in mind. Free of charge through their schools, tens of thousands of children all over Ireland who might never otherwise visit The Ark in Temple Bar can have The Ark come to them!

While our next Live From The Ark film, activity pack and workshops will be coming soon, our last was wintry music show Tracks in the Snow. Made available to schools and families in December 2021 and January 2022, it was viewed by more than 63,000 children: that’s 10% of Ireland’s primary school population!

Live From The Ark represents a significant opportunity for The Ark to achieve our mission to fulfil every children’s right to art and culture and to spark childhood imagination through cultural engagements that last a lifetime.
