Exhibition & Rooftop Art Garden Back to Top

23 June – 6 August 2012
Opening hours: Tuesday – Sunday 10am – 5pm (Closed Mondays, except bank holiday Monday 6 August)
Last admission: 4.15pm
Ages 4+

Come and explore how the natural world inspired the artworks on display. Discover floating nests built with materials scavenged from the city, play our Food Chain of Life game, or see a suspended shoal of recycled metal fish. Touch the gorgeous felt lichens, create a new species of butterfly and be spellbound by a laser animation of a snail trail. You may even meet some mischievous creatures! And most importantly of all, don’t be afraid to ask “Why?, why?, why?”. It’s our favourite word this summer.

After the exhibition, bring your experience and ideas to life in the indoor Rooftop Art Garden. Work with an artist to draw, sculpt and create using recycled materials and natural objects like stones, wood and shells. The Art Garden is open from 10.30am-5pm on the same days as the exhibition and you can stay for as little or as long as you like.

The Art Garden is presented in association with Art to Heart’s Magic Turtles mentoring programme.

Tickets €4
No advance booking necessary – just drop in!
Adults accompanying children do not need a ticket, and price includes access to the Rooftop Art Garden.
