Join award-winning translator Sarah Ardizzone for this unique event. For ages 6+. Part of International Literature Festival Dublin.

Think you know the story of Red Riding Hood? Marjorlaine Leray's witty picture book Un Petit Chaperon Rouge is a little bit different! This little girl won't be outfoxed by a wolf!! Oh and it's written entirely in French!

This is a fun, interactive workshop, involving music and even a little bit of acting too, where you get to become an expert at translating a this classic fairy tale with a twist into English.

If you couldn't use the old familiar phrases, and certain words were taboo, how would you describe a story and its characters to someone else? Your job is to find new ways of describing and defining the words that go with the brilliant pictures from the book. Release your inner Thesaurus and let your imagination guide you. As you will see when your story is hanging on teh washing line, everyone's story will be a little bit different!

Learn tips and tricks of the translator's trade, even if you don't speak French...
