UK-based Punchdrunk are the world’s leading practitioners of immersive theatre. Led by a performer and a designer from Punchdrunk Enrichment (the company’s education and outreach programme), this professional development workshop will give primary school teachers a practical introduction to immersive theatre, looking at what it is, how it works and why it can be so powerful. Punchdrunk will give an overview of their work in schools, and participants will explore how immersive narratives can be developed in educational settings, with an opportunity to devise ideas for how immersive work could be developed in their own classrooms.
