Bang On! (schools) 25 - 27 Jun 2013

Schools workshops with Nick Roth (saxophonist and composer) and musicians from The Big Bang Festival. Part of LIGHTS, CAMERA, MUSIC! and The Big Bang Festival.

Composer and saxophonist Nick Roth continues with a second week of inventive music composing workshops at The Ark, this time joined by guest musicians from The Big Bang Festival. Students will be guided and encouraged to create melodic and rhythmic riffs in response to film. They will also use percussion and other instruments to recreate real-world sound effects to mimic action in the film. Any students who happen to play an instrument are invited to bring them along, though this is not a requirement.
