Nomad 1 Apr 2022

Join children from St. Audoen’s National School as they perform music they have created during a series of workshops with UK musician Paul Griffiths.

The Ark is delighted to present our fourth Nomad as part of BIG BANG Dublin! The idea behind the Nomad project is a simple one. A professional musician creates a musical performance or concert with a group of children or young people. The children’s musical talents and cultural influences merge with those of the musician.

This year, internationally renowned musician and educator Paul Griffiths will lead a series of collaborative music workshops with children from St. Audoen’s National School. Over the course of the Nomad workshops, Paul will work with the children to explore a range of musical ideas and together they will devise a short music performance, which will be a unique expression of their personalities and musical imaginations.

In this one-off free event for an invited audience, the children will perform the music they have created at The Ark with accompaniment from Paul and supporting musicians Ríona Hartman, Dominic Mullen and Dave Redmond. If you would like to attend this performance, please email boxoffice@ark.ie.
