Big Stories: Giant Pictures 27 May 2018

Picture books are brought alive on the big screen by Sarah Bowie, Bethan Woollvin, John Kane & Peter Donnelly, as we welcome International Literature Festival Dublin back to The Ark.

Join us for this visual treat! Sarah, Bethan, John and Peter will read their own picturebooks to the audience, with their stunning artwork projected onto a giant screen. Hear about a hidden cat, a certain President and a donkey called Ooh (and his rather fine underpants).

There will also be a family draw along – pencils at the ready!

An illustrator, author and cartoonist, Sarah Bowie’s latest picture book is We’re Going to the Zoo. Bethan Woollvin’s award-winning picturebook, Little Red uses humour and striking pictures to turn a familiar tale on its head!John Kane’s first book is I Say Ooh You say Aah - and his plan is that it won’t be his last! Peter Donnelly was born in Dublin, a city with no shortage of pigeons. His book The President’s Glasses was a number one bestseller. Please note that Sarah Bowie will only be appearing in the 11am event and Bethan Woollvin in the 1pm event.
