Workshop: Digging In & Greening the City 2 Jun 2018

Come along and dig in! Meet with city greening experts Green Edge and help to transform The Ark building into a new green space in Temple Bar bursting with plant and bird life.

The Green Edge team will tell you about the variety of birds that share our city skies and how we can create ideal habitats for them in small city spaces. You will be encouraged to share your ideas and designs for The Ark through hands on activities such as drawing, painting and making 3D models using a range of mixed and recycled materials.

Your garden ideas and artworks will then be used to inform the design of The Ark's new green facade and the entrance garden.

During the workshop you will also work together with your grown-ups to plant and sow a flower box for The Ark's window ledges that will provide a flash of colour, a home for insects and food for city birds.

This workshop and the process of 'greening' The Ark is part of Dublin City Council’s Cruinniú na nÓg / Dublin Cruinniú
