Dragons, from the beginning. 6 Jun 2026

Join visual artist Duffy Mooney Sheppard for a playful and imaginative workshop for ages 5-7 and their grown-ups, working with clay.

There is a story about the dragons and how they were made. A ball of clay, a pinch of lizard, bear and lion. A little of earth's more precious minerals and gemstones, boiling water from the deepest geyser, a dash of silver and dinosaur bones. The creature made was the most perfect ever seen, too beautiful for our planet, and so the dragons left long ago in search of a home that matched their beauty.

In this workshop we will research the images and descriptions of these ancient beasts and build our own dragons from clay and special materials. You will be able to take your creation home at the end of the workshop.
