Early Years Workshops: Moving Pictures! 11 Jun - 19 Jul 2016
Dive into an underwater adventure with artist Paula Henihan for an interactive story-based session that will introduce very young children to simple animation forms. Ages 2-4
Paula will welcome participants into the workshop with an engaging animated story about a magical sea creature. This story will be followed by an interactive session where the children will participate in different activity areas exploring the sea and its amazing inhabitants.
The story session and activity areas will allow children to experience the early forms of animation (pre-film), including flip books, zoetrope and thaumatrop, which were all simple ways of projecting and displaying moving images.
