For TradFest 2025, join artist Debora Adachi to create your own magical beings inspired by Irish folklore, for young adventurers aged 5-12.
From mischievous spirits to gentle giants, discover the wonders of Irish folktales while crafting your very own legendary creature. This workshop promises a blend a mix of magic, creativity, crafts and lots of imagination, all designed to transport you straight into the enchanting world of Irish fairies.
About Debora Adachi
Debora is an illustrator and author of Brazilian-Japanese descent currently based in Ireland. Her passion lies in creating art that is accessible to children and exposes them to a variety of perspectives, with the intention of promoting empathy towards what is often seen as "different." Debora has been named a Highly Commended Illustration Winner for the FAB Prize 22. She is currently undergoing training and mentorship as part of the Pathways 2022-2024 children's illustration program by Pop Up Projects. In 2023, she was selected to participate in the Harper Collins' Author Academy for children's writing and completed her residency with Mother Tongues at Rua Red. Additionally, she was chosen to be part of WEFT, an initiative by Dublin Fringe Festival, and is involved as an artist in the Vital Spark Relationship program, focusing on developing performances for young audiences.
