Gig 6: Stand Up Comedy for Families 24 Aug 2014

The final stand up gig of FunnyFest - and what a show to finish on! We have Andrew Stanley at the steering wheel with Totally Wired (Ireland's oldest and least successful boyband) and the brilliant Joe Rooney.

Andrew StanleyMC: Andrew Stanley
Andrew decided to be a comic when he travelled to Scotland for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He saw a performance from the Australian Comic Brendan Burns and it inspired him. Andrew loves his big hair, Pikachu and wrestling!

“…the comedy tsunami that was Andrew Stanley. It’s rare, outside of the Fringe, to see a comic so clearly destined for the top" Scotsman (2011)

Totally WiredTotally Wired
Lorcan and Emmet are Totally Wired. Emmet sings, makes impressions with his voice and face and dances. Lorcan sings and plays the guitar. They sing songs about love, clouds and school. Eh! NO THEY DON’T! That was a joke. They sing very, very silly songs and get all the words mixed-up and pretend to be great dancers like Ballerinas.

they are not just side splittingly funny, they are the comedic find of the Festival” Examiner.com

Joe RooneyJoe Rooney
Joe is a cool guy and he looks like the lead singer of a rock band. He has long hair standing up and a very funny voice. He can bend his body like a yoga teacher, sing like Barney and make you imagine you’re in the jungle chasing giraffes in your pyjamas. Parents might recognise Joe from Father Ted and Killinaskully.

Occasionally laconic, at times infectiously manic, and always rivetting...one of Ireland’s '10 Most Wanted'” Hotpress
