Early Years Workshops: Little Puffins! 21 - 22 Feb 2025
Join visual artist Jane Groves and celebrate the puffin though story and sensory play for young adventurers aged 2-4.
All around our Emerald shores a treasured little bird nest in burrows and catch glimmering silver fish in their colourful beaks. In this interactive workshop for little ones, you are invited to join visual artist Jane Groves on a fun adventure to celebrate these lovely puffins through stories and play!
Come and explore the world of puffins, where you’ll hear fun tales, feel squishy clay, and make colourful pictures with your hands. You’ll get to splash around with paint, squish and squelch with clay, and maybe even ruffle your feathers just like a puffin! It’s a wonderful way to create, play, and discover the magic of these little birds who live by the sea.
*Although aprons will be provided, please do dress for some mess!
About Jane Groves
Jane is a visual artist whose work is embedded in meaningful process-driven engagement and site-specific installation. Jane loves to connect people, places, and landscapes and specialises in working with young people, inspired by her own observations of nature and informed in part by many children’s lack of interaction with and vocabulary about the natural world. Jane delights in bringing her spark to very young children and their families, listening carefully and delighting in the creative response, encouraging passion, playfulness, and curiosity. Jane has worked extensively with children and communities through working with The Ark, Dublin City Council, Creativity In The Classroom, The Craft and Design Council, DLR, and many more.
