100 Tiny Moments of Care with Luke Casserly

What does it mean to care for the place where you live?

In this interactive online workshop, artist Luke Casserly will invite children to explore their relationship with the place they live through small acts of imagination and creativity. Together, we will think about “tiny moments of care” - simple actions that show how we connect with and look after the world around us.

These moments might be real (watering a plant or noticing a bird) or imagined (protecting a secret place or even having a conversation with a tree.) Participants will be invited to respond using drawing and/or creative writing to create their own collection of “tiny moments of care” inspired by their local environment.

The workshop will encourage children to notice their surroundings and express their ideas in their own unique way. Each participant will also have the opportunity to share their work during the session.

Workshop Dates and Times:

  • 24 July @ 11am & 2pm
  • 25 July @ 11am & 2pm

What if we just invent it? with Róisín White

In this online workshop be inspired by inventors of the past and dream up fantastical inventions for the future! Together we will look at the weird and wonderful ideas that inventors had for new machines and technologies, some that seemed impossible, and some that became realities.

Big ideas and big discoveries can often begin with a simple “what if…?”, and in this workshop we are going to start working on those big ideas! Through drawing and lots of different materials, we will dream up new inventions. We’ll get our blueprints ready, and design something that even science-fiction hasn’t thought of yet!
