Workshops for Schools: The Winter Festival Transformation 8 - 10 Dec 2026

Join artist Duffy Mooney-Sheppard for an engaging, interactive workshop for Junior Infants to 2nd Class.

On a crisp, dark winter's night you can hear the fox wail, the blackbird sing and the badger breathing slow and deep. At our winter festival you can choose to take on the powers of the animals for a short time only. To stalk and fly and pounce at this magic winter event.

In this mask and shadow making visual art workshop and using native Irish animals as inspiration, each student will construct their animalistic alter ego out of card and we will bring them to life with light and shadow.

What animals do you choose to draw from? What do they mean to you and how do they make you feel?
