Not-So-Silent Movies 4 - 11 May 2013

Workshops for children aged 5-12 with pianist Elaine Loebenstein. Part of LIGHTS, CAMERA, MUSIC!: a season of music-making inspired by film.

Create your own music inspired by silent cartoons and early film comedies with pianist and improviser Elaine Loebenstein. Elaine has trained especially to be able to create music on-the-spot for silent movies, and her high energy music-making workshops will bring children into a creative world where their musical imaginations are set alight through film. Each workshop will culminate in an informal performance of the new music created by the children with film.

No previous musical experience necessary. However, children who are learning to play instruments are welcome to bring them along.
