Create your own music inspired by silent cartoons and early film comedies with pianist and improviser Elaine Loebenstein. Elaine has trained especially to be able to create music on-the-spot for silent movies and has performed all over the world including at Pordenone Silent Film Festival in Italy and a recent residency at Sydney Opera House. Her high energy music-making workshops will bring classes into a creative world where their musical imaginations are set alight by responding to films. Each workshop will culminate in an informal performance of the new music created by the children with film.

Children who are learning to play instruments are invited to bring them to these workshops. However, this is not obligatory.
