The world is filled with music, and it all has rhythm. This training session for professional musicians provides a fundamental overview of many of the world's rhythms through a combination of listening and a hands on drumming experience. Percussionist Robbie Harris will show participants how to lead and teach rhythmic patterns from many different percussive cultures. The objective is to impart techniques and skills to the participants. They can then go on to give workshops and concerts to groups of all ages that have no musical experience. This is an introduction to rhythm through the eyes, ears, and hands of a percussionist.
