Print It: Fabric Design Workshop
Design and print your own length of fabric using block printing techniques. For ages 5-7 & 8-12. Part of Irish Design 2015

In this workshop, learn to design and make your own block printed repeat animal pattern onto fabric, taking inspiration from Print Block’s printed soft toy designs featured in the exhibition.

Firstly, you will playfully experimenting with different ways of creating patterns - exploring colour and tone, shape, texture, pattern and rhythm. Then you will learn how to develop a simple animal design suitable for repeat printing and make your own printing blocks. With the block you will then learn to print onto a length of fabric that you can take home with you make into your own soft toy. Led by artist Jo May.
