Schools: The Yet Unknown Land of Extinct Animals 17 - 20 Jun 2025

Join visual artist Duffy Mooney-Sheppard for an imaginative workshop that asks, what really happened to the unicorns?

After a visit to Voyages, the exhibition featuring artworks from The Ark’s collection (co-curated by children!), children will explore the world of mythical creatures who were left behind when the Ark set sail. Were they too late? Did they build their own boat?

Children will use storytelling and 3D model-making to reimagine the fate of unicorns and other magical beasts. With a mix of recycled materials and lots of imagination, children will create miniature environments and tell the stories of the creatures who missed the boat — and what they did next.
