Digital Workshops for Schools: The Haircut 14 - 21 Oct 2025

Join artist Duffy Mooney-Sheppard for a visual arts workshop inspired by our Streaming for Schools show The Haircut!

Rather than being ashamed of the parts of himself that make him different, Kwaku celebrated his uniqueness and encouraged the King to do the same. In this workshop, Duffy will call on the themes of the show to guide children as they make a crown that features something fantastically unique for them – maybe as the king of their kingdom they are known for their elephant trunk nose, or perhaps they are the lizard tongued queen! Children will be encouraged to use their imaginations to come up with something different – and celebrate it!

After making the crowns, Duffy will encourage children to make a self-portrait to celebrate all the features real and imagined that make them unique!

Come celebrate the diversity of the classroom through this hands-on, playful workshop!
