Seedlings Early Years Workshop - Into the Rainbow 4 - 18 Jun 2022
Step into the rainbow and enjoy a joyful interactive dance workshop for children aged 2-4 with The Ark's Early Years Artist in Residence, dance artist Monica Muñoz.
Join Monica to discover and invent all kinds of moves and grooves for all the different colours of the rainbow. Swim with a blue fish, get tickled by a purple feather, shine in yellow like the sun, build chaos with red and float around like a green leaf!
This delightful interactive dance workshop invites little ones and their grown-ups to enjoy imagining and moving together. So if you’re a parent, grandparent, uncle, aunty, godparent or carer, come along with a 2 to 4 year old and join in the fun.
The Ark’s Seedlings workshops are devised and presented by dance artist Monica Munoz. Monica is the third recipient of The Ark’s John Coolahan Early Years Artist Residency.
About Monica Muñoz
Monica Muñoz is a dancer, performance-maker and educator originally from Barcelona and based in Dublin since 2014. She graduated at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen/Germany and completed an MA in Dance Education at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. As a dancer, she worked for over 20 years throughout Europe and across the globe. Recently, The Ark selected her to participate in an artists’ lab as part of the PUSH+ Creative Europe project for artists working with young audiences. Currently, she is undertaking a research period supported by the YPCE Bursary Award from the Arts Council about dance for and with children in the early years. She is The Ark’s John Coolahan Early Years Artist in Residence 2021/22.
