Seedlings: Elliott the Dragon's True Talent! 31 May - 1 Jun 2019

Our Early Years Artist in Residence Joanna Parkes takes us on a journey for ages 2-4 (and their grown-ups) using active drama and play to help us discover what we are good at.

In this workshop, you will meet Elliott, a shy but friendly dragon. All his friends are good at something but Elliott can’t find his true talent so he is feeling sad and a little bit confused. Meanwhile there’s a new café in town but the owner of the café, Antonella, is worried as her pizzas are floppy and her cakes are soggy. Maybe Elliott and Antoinella can help each other?

Combining drama, story, play and props, this fun workshop invites little ones and their grown-ups to enjoy imagining together. So whether you’re a parent, grandparent, uncle, aunty, godparent or carer, come along with a 2 to 4 year old to find out if you can help Elliott and Antonella and maybe find out what your own talent is too!

Our Seedlings workshops offer opportunities for very young children to explore their imaginations through playful drama and story. Ideal for getting little ones (and their grown-up!) creating together.

Our Seedlings workshops are devised and presented by Joanna Parkes. Joanna is the second recipient of The Ark’s John Coolahan Early Years Artist Residency and will be devising and delivering an exciting drama workshop programme for children in the early years at The Ark from May 2019 until April 2020.
