Explore outer space on a mission to Mars in this interactive drama workshop for little ones aged 2-4 and their grown-ups, led by our Early Years Artist in Residence, Joanna Parkes.
It is the year is 2050 and a group of brave and clever Space Scientists have been asked to go on a mission to Mars to see what they can discover. They will be using their observation skills to explore, investigate and uncover all they can about the potential for life on Mars. What will they find? Come and find out on the next Seedlings adventure.
Using a combination of drama, props, materials and play, children will be encouraged to imagine they are these observant space scientists with a mission to accomplish. So if you’re a parent, grandparent, uncle, aunty, godparent or carer, come along with a 2 to 4 year old and enjoy imagining together.
Our Seedlings workshops offer monthly opportunities for very young children to explore their imaginations through playful drama and story. Ideal for getting little ones (and their grown-up!) creating together.
Our Seedlings workshops are devised and presented by Joanna Parkes. Joanna is the second recipient of The Ark’s John Coolahan Early Years Artist Residency and will be devising and delivering an exciting drama workshop programme for children in the early years at The Ark from May 2019 until April 2020.
