Summer Exhibition: Voyages 7 Jun - 23 Aug 2025

We've been sailing for a long time! Step into Voyages, a unique exhibition curated by children, for children. A joyful, accessible experience where young voices take the lead in the world of art.

To celebrate The Ark’s 30th birthday, twelve young people aged 10 to 17 years, representing current members of the Ark’s Children’s Council and alumni from seven previous councils, took part in seven creative workshops to explore The Ark’s visual art collection, learn about curation, and shape the final exhibition, led by artist and collaborator Róisín White.

The Ark has been on many voyages since opening in 1995 and they have selected diverse artworks spanning across multiple collections to reflect this. Voyages features hand-picked ceramics, drawing, painting, photography, screenprint and mixed media sculptures that were commissioned, purchased by, or donated to The Ark over the last three decades.

Voyages is a playful, inclusive exhibition curated by children, for children (and the young at heart!). It’s a celebration of imagination, curiosity, and what happens when young minds take the wheel.
