The Ark at Cruinniú 17 Apr 2017

On Easter Monday, we are excited to be heading to St Stephen's Green to be part of RTÉ's Cruinniú na Cásca events.

Cruinniú na Cásca is a new initiative Creative Ireland - an annual culture day to be held every Easter Monday.

So what do we have in store for children in St Stephen's Green?

Willow Weaving Workshops

Create your own beautifully crafted willow fish with artist Jane Groves. You will learn the ancient skills of basket weaving, one of the oldest traditional crafts, and create your very own fish shape using willow rods. For Ages 5+

Workshop Schedule (40 minutes duration):
11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2.20pm, 3.20pm & 4.20pm

Places allocated on the day on a first come, first served basis.


RIDICULOUS!

If you like crazy poems, silly songs or nonsense verse then you will love RIDICULOUS! Whether you're as big as a house or as small as a shoe, strap on your custard wings and tune your gnu! We have 40 RIDICULOUS minutes for you!

Performers Darina Gallagher and Sinead Murphy will take you on a journey through some extremely silly, absurd and funny poems from the best loved childrens’ poets.

Performance Schedule (40 minutes duration):
11am, 1pm (signed performance) & 3pm

No booking necessary - just head for the Summer House to see this and other performances throughout the day.

About Cruinniú na Cásca

Cruinniú na Cásca, a Creative Ireland initiative presented by RTÉ is a free public event which will take place in towns and cities across Ireland, on Easter Monday with a special large-scale event in Dublin.

Four zones in Dublin city centre, from 11am – 6pm, will celebrate contemporary Irish culture and creativity through a rich variety of live music and dance, coding, art and music workshops, talks and tastings, readings and screenings, special events and more.
