The Ghost Train Blues Workshops 27 Oct - 1 Nov 2014
The blues is a kind of popular folk music from America and the harmonica is a small wind instrument you play with your mouth to make groovy blues sounds. And did you know that blues is the granddaddy of rock and roll? Lots of early rock and even up to the present day use blues structures and licks.
Join in the fun and learn to play a ghost train riff, make funny farm yard animals sounds, discover funky blues chords and find out what a blue note is in music. You might even meet the ghost who woke up this morning with a bad case of the blues!
Suitable for total beginners to the blues and the harmonica.
Check out The Ghost Train, which showcases some of the techniques that you will learn in the workshop.
Presented with funding from the Music Network Music Capital Scheme, funded by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
