The Seanchaí Masks (Paper & Mixed media)
With Caroline Ryan
Ages 5+
A seanchaí is a traditional Irish storyteller/historian - this mask-making workshop is inspired by the craft of Storytelling. Let the stories of Fionn Mac Cumhaill, Cuchulainn, the Children of Lir and the Fairies spark your imagination and help you to create a fantastical mask!

Musical Mayhem (Mixed Media)
With Sarah Malin
Ages 7+
Create your very own unique musical instrument using a range of different materials including wool, fabric, cardboard, plastic, and recycled materials. Combine a tin-whistle with a violin to ‘concoct’ our own type of instrument – the crazier the better!

The Salmon of Knowledge (Willow Weaving)
With Cathy Hayden
Ages 5+
The Salmon of Knowledge is a Traditional Irish Legend about the poet Finnegas and the warrior Fionn Mac Cumhaill who gains all the knowledge in the world from a magical fish! In this workshop, learn the skills of basket weaving, one of the oldest traditional crafts, and create your very own Salmon of Knowledge.

Admission to the Children’s Craft Workshops is free on a first come first served basis (no advance booking available). All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Donations to The Ark are gratefully accepted at the door.
