Trad Gig for Schools: Kíla 30 Jan 2015

A trad music treat for schools as outstanding Irish band Kíla bring their hip-shaking, smile-making, funky, groovy brand of trad to The Ark this Tradfest. Don't miss their interactive and eclectic music which is simply brimming with energy and vitality.

With their roots in traditional Irish music, expect wonderful melodies and some seriously fun rhythms! Kíla have created their own distinctive style of world music, which has won over audiences around the world through their nine recordings to date and their spectacular live performances.

With 8 multi-talented multi-instrumentalists, their performances includes a huge array of instruments including: bodhrán, djembe, congas, bongos, guitar and vocals, tin whistle, low whistle, clarinet, bazouki, mandolin, bones, flute, tin whistle, saxophone, percussion , mandola, bass, double bass, fiddle, viola, hammered dulcimer, accordion, uileann pipes, shakers and drums.
