The Right Here Right Now Rally 24 Feb 2023
The Children’s Rally will be the pinnacle moment of Right Here Right Now! The Ark's Festival of Children and we want YOU to join in!
It’s time to get on your soapbox and tell us what’s on your mind, making sure that children are seen and heard. There are two ways that school groups, children’s clubs or families can take part - either by joining us at The Ark or holding a rally where you are!
Either way, to help children get ready for the rally, we have created a Rally Activity Pack* that can be used in school or at home to explore the topic of children’s rights and the importance of children’s voices being heard by grown-ups.
Children from all over Ireland will rally together in Meeting House Square in Temple Bar (just behind The Ark). There’ll be speeches and banners, flags and songs! It will be a colourful celebration of children’s rights: the right to play, to engage in cultural activities and the right to express yourself.
If you, your family, group or school would like to take part, then call us on 01 670 7788 or use our online registration form and a member of The Ark team will be in touch. You can then request to receive the Rally Activity Pack.
*The Right Here Right Now! Rally Activity Pack will be available to download from early February and will be sent to you once you have registered.

What Will You Say?
The Ark's new rally song "What Will You Say?" by Elaine Mai and MayKay with The SuperTones children's choir will make its live debut at the Right Here Right Now Rally on Friday 24 February in Meeting House Square.

The Ark commissioned artist and producer Elaine Mai to compose the song, based on children's responses to our Speak Up, Speak Out callout asking them to tell us what they think about their rights and what issues were most important to them. Elaine collaborated with musician and vocalist MayKay, well known for her work with Fight Like Apes, to compose the song, before bringing on The SuperTones children's choir to record with them. The result is a stomping rally tune that signifies the power of children's voices.
Elaine and MayKay will perform "What Will You Say?" with The SuperTones for hundreds of children at the Right Here Right Now Rally in Meeting House Square on Friday 24 February.
"What Will You Say?" will be available to listen to on streaming services from Friday 24 February and will also be sent to schools who are attending our Right Here Right Now Rally or hosting their own Rally Where You Are so that children can learn the song and sing along on the day. You can also download and learn the lyrics here .
Can't get to Dublin? Rally Where You Are!
If you can't make it to Meeting House Square, then you can still take part. Why not host your own local rally at home, in school or in your area to make sure that children get to tell everyone about what's important to them?
