Beastie 2 - 6 Oct 2013

A magical adventure for children inspired by the imagination of young explorers. Part of Dublin Theatre Festival Family Season.

In cities and towns across the country people have been seeing a mysterious creature. Some say they’ve seen it on the bus. One boy said it eats shoes! But one thing is for certain – nobody knows what it is...

Beastie is a magical adventure for children inspired by the imagination of young explorers. In a dynamic performance the audience share a jaw-dropping secret and take charge as they create their own stories and explore their surroundings hand-in-hand with a very special new friend. The result is a playful, active and engaging experience for small groups of children, and one big surprise for adults!

Under the direction of acclaimed theatre-makers and children’s television writers Gregg Whelan and Gary Winters, Lone Twin is known for creating projects that entertain and inspire hope.

If you come face-to-face with Beastie, what will you do?

Parents and carers are asked to leave their children in the care of the company for the duration of the performance.

Commissioned by barbicanbite10; Kunstenfestivaldesarts, steirischer herbst, Corn Exchange Newbury. Supported by The National Lottery through Arts Council England; The Basement, Brighton; Chichester Festival Theatre.
