An Ant Called Amy as part of The Ark's DCU Residency 2024/25

We were delighted to facilitate a very special performance of An Ant Called Amy by Julie Sharkey at DCU as part of The Ark's DCU Residency 2024/25.

An Ant Called Amy was presented at The Ark in 2024 as part of Dublin Theatre Festival's Theatre for Children Season. Created and performed by Julie Sharkey, this charming and moving story for children aged 5-8 tells the tale of an ant who learns to slow down.

The Bachelor of Education First Year students got to see An Ant Called Amy performed in the DCU St. Patrick’s Campus auditorium as part of their drama education modules. It was a wonderful morning full of sharing and learning, bolstered by The Ark's mission to create high quality art for children.

The Ark were selected as Young People, Children, and Education (YPCE) Artists in Residence for the academic year 2024/‘25, funded by the Arts Council.
