This year The Ark turns 25! In 1995 we were founded as Europe’s first dedicated cultural centre for children and between June - December 2020 we will celebrate our birthday with a jam-packed programme of amazing art for children aged 2-12. To help us achieve our ambitions for the year, we are excited to welcome our new 25th birthday sponsor, BDO.
BDO is the leader in advising and funding ambitious Irish businesses, helping them to grow in domestic and international markets. BDO’s global reach and expertise is built on exceptional client service, a collaborative and inclusive culture and a passion to succeed for their clients. With offices in Dublin, Limerick and Cork, BDO partner with their clients' businesses, working closely as business advisers.
BDO has come on board as our 25th birthday sponsor to help to bring interactive exhibitions and new productions to life as part of The Ark’s birthday programme. In turn, The Ark will work with BDO to embed creativity into the workplace and share great art experiences with more children and wider audiences. On announcing the sponsorship, Director of The Ark, Aideen Howard said,
‘I am delighted that, in BDO, The Ark has found a sponsor committed to supporting the creation and sharing of great art for children. We are proud to be associated with BDO in our 25th birthday year and are excited about the shared commitment to extend our reach to more children along with their schools and families. We look forward to announcing a brilliant, diverse birthday season supported by BDO in April. We are also grateful to our Business to Arts colleagues for their support in helping us deliver children’s right to art and culture in a meaningful way.”
Further to this, Managing Partner of BDO Ireland, Michael Costello, said, 'BDO are delighted to be supporting The Ark as part of its 25th birthday. As part of our values, we encourage creativity, innovative thinking, independence and empowerment and we see these values reflected in those of The Ark. We are very proud to be supporting the vision of delivering on every child’s right to discover and love art in a society where creativity and culture are valued and we are really looking forward to helping to bring interactive exhibitions and new productions to life as part of the birthday programme.'
Stay tuned for information on the 25th birthday season of exhibitions, performances, workshops and projects here at The Ark and around the country, which we will be announcing soon.
