Ark Art in Schools
It's delivery week for our Ark Art in Schools participants! ‘The Art Runway’ and 'All Kinds of Everything" include carefully selected artworks from The Ark’s visual arts collection and this week, 10 schools were given a new piece of art from the collection to display for the next month.
Ark Art in Schools is generously supported by basis.point. With their funding, we've been able to bring artworks made for, by, with and about children directly into schools, ensuring that even more children have the chance to experience the joy, creativity and inspiration of the arts. #artsforEVERYchild
The Ark Runway collection was created by 4th Class at St.Patricks GNS in Ringsend, alongside artist Jole Bortoli. The project consisted of the children observing and viewing The Ark's Art archive and selecting artworks they wanted to see as part of a brand new collection. This project was possible thanks to Dublin City Council's Community Development Fund.
The Art Runway Collection will travel to:
- St Christopher's Primary School Ballsbridge
- Scoil Chaitríona Baggot Street
- St. Audoens NS
- Paradise Place ETNS
- St Patricks BNS and GNS Ringsend
All Kinds of Everything Collection will travel to:
- Stanhope Street Primary School
- St James's Primary School
- St Brigids. The Coombe
- City Quay NS
- Bunscoil Synge Street
