At The Ark we believe in the arts for EVERY child. Following the publication of our 2023 Annual Report, we're celebrating the achievements of the past year.
2023 was a bumper year with three premieres of Ark commissions in music, theatre and dance, making it The Ark’s busiest year yet.
169,527 children and grown-ups attended or engaged with The Ark events, with 33,680 attending live performances, events or workshops at The Ark, in schools and in libraries. 24,258 people watched streamed performances, predominantly in schools and 110,253 children and their grown-ups experienced art in their libraries through Dublin City Council’s Creative Hubs delivered by The Ark.
We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved over the past year and over the life of the 2021- 2023 strategy. We now look forward to building on this work and exploring fresh avenues as we enter our next phase of fun and ambitious art for children with The Ark Strategy 2024-2028. More importantly, we hope you join us, wherever you may be, for our 30th birthday year in 2025.
