Meet the Children behind A Rain Walk

This summer, The Ark was delighted to be involved in the process of creating A Rain Walk by artists Andy Field and Beckie Darlington in collaboration with children from across Ireland and the UK. The result is a beautiful interactive audio walk that can be experienced any time it rains, as part of Dublin Fringe Festival 2020: Pilot Light Edition. Kieran (13), Dublin

1. What’s your favourite colour?
Blue

2. What’s your favourite kind of weather and why?
Sunny because it is very nice and you can do more things.

3. What was your favourite thing about making the show?
Recording it was really cool!

1. What’s your favourite colour?
Red

2. What’s your favourite kind of weather and why?
Rainy because you can stay inside and watch movies

3. What was your favourite thing about making the show?
Recording the sound of the rain and sea. Doing all the calls was cool.

Violet

2. What’s your favourite kind of weather and why?
Warm weather with a little rain every now and then. It’s nice to have warm weather because it’s not too hot that you overheat. It’s nice to be not too cold because I’m already cold. I like a bit of rain so that you don’t have to water the plants.

My favourite part of the project was using the microphone.

Meeting the other people from the different cities and having a chance to think creatively.
