New #ARK25 Limited Edition Signed Print by Fuchsia MacAree
To help us celebrate our 25th birthday and raise much needed funds for our #ARK25 Opportunities Fund, artist Fuchsia MacAree has created a special limited edition signed print of a brand new artwork for children, available to purchase now.
This year, The Ark is 25 Years Young! Although our building has been closed for the last little while, we've been busy behind the scenes, working with artists and getting ready to reopen with some brand new art for children. One of the artists we've been working with is the brilliant Fuchsia MacAree, an artist and illustrator based in Dublin. As a lovely 25th birthday present to us, Fuchsia has created a Limited Edition print of her new artwork for children, 'Like The Sun Coming Out'. Only 25 prints have been made, and Fuchsia has signed each one individually and with love.
Fuchsia designed 'Like The Sun Coming Out' especially for children, depicting the post-zoo giddiness of the Phoenix Park Bandstand. The piece is inspired by trips to the park and the rare and precious glimpses of sunlight we get during the winter. This print will make a perfect addition to any room where you'd like to add a hint of colour and joy, or a beautiful Christmas gift for a loved one!
Priced at €250 each, all profits will be used to support our #ARK25 Opportunities Fund, helping us reach more children from all backgrounds whose access to arts and culture may be even more limited by Covid-19 restrictions. By purchasing a print and supporting #ARK25, you can help ensure every child's right to art and culture in 2021 and beyond.
Fuchsia draws on an iPad, using warm colours and simplified perspectives, and she particularly enjoys drawing quiet moments and Irish oddities. Fuchsia's work has been turned into large-scale murals, screen prints, woodcuts, textiles, paintings and animations.
