As we look forward to the time when we are able to safely reopen our building, The Ark announces details of our first online summer programme, The Beautiful Beasts @ Home. Join us for brand new online workshops, video tutorials, at-home activities and art adventures for children aged 2-12.

Over the last two weeks, PUSH+ Lead Artist Luke Pell has been facilitating an online offering for participating artists from all three PUSH+ Labs to come together and see what they can - and want to - sit with, together, through contemplation and careful conversation as a source of support for their practice.

The Ark is delighted to announce the publication of Working with Young Children in Museums: Weaving Theory and Practice (Routledge 2020). The book features a chapter case study of The Ark’s John Coolahan Early Years Artist Residency with visual artist Lucy Hill (2018/2019).

Back in February 2020, The Ark was delighted to head out of Dublin and down the road to Limerick for our first regional Fun Size Jazz project. Here, our Creative Arts Manager Aisling O'Gorman gives an overview of the project and a rundown of the day's fun size events.

Ahead of the general election in February, politicians from seven of the main political parties visited The Ark for the Children's Hustings to speak with children and children's rights groups about the issues that affect them.
