We’re excited to tell you about some changes and improvements that we’ve been putting in place, thanks to capital funding from the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, match funded by Temple Bar Cultural Trust.
You may have noticed that our Autumn season is a little quieter than usual through September, and in November when we will be heading out of the building for our Science Week events. This is to enable us to make some important upgrades to our building. Over the next few months we are redesigning our foyer space and box office, upgrading toilets and floors and redoing the seating in the theatre.
On top of this, we have been updating and improving things that may not seem immediately obvious, but you will see the impact when you come along to our events – these include new lighting rig, sound and lighting equipment in the theatre, alongside upgrades to our gallery and workshop spaces and to our office spaces.
So if you’re coming in to see the fantastic international theatre in the Theatre for Children season for Dublin Theatre Festival or The Animation Art Show across the mid-term break then keep an eye out for some of these changes getting underway. And by the time Branar’s How Catch a Star opens in December as our festive show, you will be able to see everything in place!
